Two GREENS To Use In Your Fall Home

silver dollar eucalyptus is another filler flower for bouquets and is very versatile because it can be used in boutonnières. Each leaf has a long stem which makes it easy for corsage use unlike regular eucalyptus where each leaf is attached to one thick central stem. It has a milder aroma as well.: What's better than 1...12! In galvanized tin with a vintage velvet ribbon of course. Photo by Chia Chong. Styling by Libbie Summers:

When Fall arrives I want to add some warmth to my home so I add a few elements from a list that works for me. You can read my list of 18 elements here.

This year I decided to add more green to my Fall decor since I don't use the typical autumnal colors, green works for me.

Today I am going to talk about two of those green elements and show you ways to use them in your home.

ARTICHOKES

I love the artichokes!! The island is painted in "Dripping Tap." Plain English is a traditional joinery company. We use the techniques of 18th and 19th century cabinetmakers.:

One of my personal favorites. Partly because I love artichokes...but also because the greens & blues put me in a happy place.:
Artichokes can add texture and architecture to a Fall arrangement. They look wonderful with grays and purples.

This is something anyone can do in their home. A clear vase full of artichokes and then add other autumn fruit and you have a lovely arrangement.

EUCALYPTUS BRANCHES

silver dollar eucalyptus is another filler flower for bouquets and is very versatile because it can be used in boutonnières. Each leaf has a long stem which makes it easy for corsage use unlike regular eucalyptus where each leaf is attached to one thick central stem. It has a milder aroma as well.

Each year, paint companies release forecasts to predict paint color trends for the coming year. For 2016, expect a move from cooler colors to slightly warmer tones. Here are our favorites!:

The leaves have a wonderful silvery green/blue cast and they work with so many color schemes that just about anyone can incorporate them in their home.

I love how this homeowner used a collection of green and brown vases with the eucalyptus. Look around your home and see if you have a group of vases that you could do something similar.

Decorate this fall with Vintage Inspired Chalky Paint Pumpkins. The neutral paint colors bring an elegant touch to any home all season long.:

A simple sprig adds just the right touch to this arrangement of pumpkins that appear to be painted with chalk paint.

If you're looking for a fragrant indoor plant to add to your home, a Eucalyptus Plant is for you.:

You can't get much more simple than this!! Just the right touch.

Look around your home and see where you might add one or both of these elements to add a touch of Fall Green to your home.

Happy Fall Decorating!!
